Prepare the Association’s Annual Budget; monitor expenses and revenue on an ongoing basis to ensure that all the Association’s financial objectives are achieved.
Fund Raising, Government Affairs, and Membership Ways and Means
Fund Raising: Engage in fund-raising activities for and on behalf of the Association as is deemed necessary by the Board;
Government Affairs: Guide the Association in its relations with the SVG Government in connection with the laws relating to, and regulatory requirements imposed upon, the hotel and tourism industry;
Membership Ways and Means: Prescribe the rules and regulations with respect to applicants for Membership and their admission to the Association. Make recommendations to the Board with respect to such matters as dues increases, recruitment of new members and the retention of existing members.
Health & The Environment
Health: Responsible for seeking and promoting ways and means for the provision of better health services and facilities for all Vincentians and visitors alike;
Environment: Ensure that the environment is always considered in the development of the tourism and hospitality industry.
Technology, Public Relations and Marketing
Technology: Ensure that the Association is technologically equipped to serve the needs of all its members;
Public Relations & the Media: Ensure that the information relating to the activities of the Association reaches the public locally, regionally and internationally. Maintain good relations with the media and sustain the proactivity of the Association at all times.
Marketing: Advise the Association with respect to all marketing efforts and assist in the marketing and promotion of Association members.
Training & Education
Responsible for the human resource development of all the members of the Association and for the development and implementation of appropriate programmes to achieve the stated objectives on an on-going and continuous basis.
Additional Committees
The President may appoint such additional committees as may from time to time be considered necessary by himself or the Board.
